MemoryWare Letter
Saturday, September 19, 2009
1:00~4:30
Memoryware Letter Memoryware is so much fun to do… easy, fast & anything goes! It is to mosaics what crazy quilts are to quilting. We will cover the top of letter (approx. 8”) of your choice with practically anything you want as long as we can make it stick & get it done before the mortar dries. The idea behind Memoryware is to take all of those little bits and pieces of your life that you have tucked away in the bottom of drawers and boxes and combine them in one fantastic piece of folk art. We will have plenty of shells and broken bits of china available from the Studio China Pile for you to use on your project but you must bring in your own trinkets to make it your own! The materials fee only covers one letter but I will have extra available for an additional $9.00 per letter. If you work fast you could spell out a word! This project makes a great graduation gift.
Class Fee: $60.00 Materials Fee: $9.00
BYO: Coins, watch faces, marbles, game pieces, tickets, keys, charms, pet tags, shells, old jewelry, baby teeth, stones, doll parts, etc. Bring them if you’ve got them: Safety goggles, Tile nippers

We will be using Cheryl's fantastic stash of German glass glitter to make a fancy chalkboard. Nothing makes your To Do list seem more appealing than outlining it in glitter. I promise, your productivity levels will be sky high! The chalkboard base will be black and bordered with scallops of silver glitter. Or if you prefer you are welcome to purchase a bottle of colored glitter downstairs if you want to do something a little different from the rest of us.
